Located in Sudbury, the health-care centre of northeastern Ontario, Laurentian is a medium-sized, bilingual university with a very favourable student/professor ratio. Set on 750 wooded acres only minutes from downtown Sudbury, the Laurentian University campus combines excellent outdoor recreational features with superb educational facilities.

The Midwifery Education Program
The baccalaureate program in midwifery was announced by the Ontario Government in December, 1992. The first class was admitted in August, 1993. Since then, the Midwifery Education Program has produced over 400 graduates.
In Ontario, the Midwifery Education Program is offered at three universities:
Laurentian University - Full time in French or English. Students in the French stream must be bilingual.
McMaster University - Full time in English
Ryerson University - Part time in English.
The program leads to the degree Bachelor of Health Sciences (B.H.Sc.) in Midwifery.
